Reports Have it that President Jonathanhas been trying to register, but keeps failing for the past 20 minutes, following the failure of the card reader.
The BBC’s Louise Adamou reports from Otuoke that the president is flanked by high wife, Patience Jonathan.
There is a huge media scrum at the polling station, she adds.

Breaking News: Bomb Explosion Rocks enugu Polling Unit #NigeriaDecides


A bomb explosion has reportedly rocked a polling unit at the WTC Primary School, Enugu. WTC Primary School is located at Enugu North, one of the municipal local government areas in the Coal City State.
DailyPost reports the Anti-bomb disposal unit just detonated one of the bombs as at the time of filling this
report.
Although journalists are unable to gain entrance to the place, a source said the bomb was laden in a Honda Baby Jeep.

As the strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) continues, President Goodluck Jonathan has described the teachers’ action as subversive and no longer a strike.

ASUU has refused to call off its over five-months old strike despite the intervention of the president in a marathon meeting held recently at the Presidential Villa, lasting about 13 hours.

Jonathan spoke late Friday night at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Bayelsa State caucus meeting held at the Government House, Yenagoa and presided over by the party's state chairman, Col. Samuel Inokoba (rtd).

Willie Obiano of APGA declared winner of Anambra Governorship election






All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), candidate Willie Obaino, has been declared winner of the recently held Anambra State governorship election.


The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Anambra chapter declared today Sunday December 1st in Awka that Mr. Obiano won the election by polling 180,178 votes in 19 local government areas in the state. He beat PDP candidate Tony Nwoye, to the second position with 97,700 votes and Senator Chris Ngige of the All Progressives Congress, who came third with 95,963. Ifeanyi Ubah, of Labour Party came fourth with 37,495.
